Conan O’Brien is Headed to TBS this November

For those of you wondering how the Late Night wars would sort out this fall – an answer has been announced, as Conan O’Brien – hung out to dry by NBC (but not without heavy compensation) – now has himself a new home.

The former Tonight Show host will find his new digs at TBS starting this November, according to the Associated Press.

The show will air at 11pm, pushing back Lopez Tonight to the midnight timeslot.

So where does this announcement leave you, and what are your thoughts?

As for me, I’ve been a fan of Conan O’Brien for years – and I was saddened when I heard the news of what happened to him at NBC.  Even though he’s had plenty of Benjamins to wipe away the tears – I still believe that he deserved more of a shot, and I’ve been very much looking forward to his return to television.

As for the result and announcement: I guess I can’t formulate too much of an opinion immediately, considering I don’t know what the show’s format is going to be, and how TBS and ‘CoCo’ will work things out.

However, I can express some disappointment – because I – like many, did envision a big time late night grudge match – with a three-headed monster going at it on the major networks at 1130pm every weeknight.

OK, four-headed monster if you count Jimmy Kimmel.

Rejoice, Team Coco: Conan is back!

Obviously, that indeed will not happen – as Conan will have his show starting a half hour ahead – and O’Brien will not be headed to Fox as many had hoped – going head-to-head against the aforementioned Kimmel, plus David Letterman and Jay Leno.

Still, I do take comfort personally knowing that O’Brien – with his fluffy hair and goofy, yet infectious personality – will be back on the air in a matter of months.

I just wonder what familiar skits will return – and what new surprises are in store.

Guess I’lll just have to wait for the fall to find out.

Until then, I’ll save some space on the DVR come November.

As for you… will you be watching?

Ha ha, somehow you can manage to get the Jets involved into everything, can’t you? You should really decorate your cube more with Jets stuff… maybe Rex Ryan…. a big giant Fathead of Rex Ryan… there you go, do that.

I like Conan… always have… he can be goofy at times, but he interviews the celebs better than others I think.

Conan O’Brien is overrated. Actually all late night show hosts are overrated….You know what’s not overrated. The New York Jets, why don’t you right a lick about them?
