In Seoul, South Korea, throwing out a ceremonial first pitch in a game for the Doosan Bears, rhythmic gymnast Shin Soo-ji delivered a smooth, cool and rotational masterpiece that was quite a sight to see.

Rhythmic Gymnast Shin Soo-ji delivers a first pitch for the Doosan Bears

Considering that we Americans are used to first pitch disasters from the likes of Mariah Carey, Gary “Baba Booey” Dell’Abate and Adam Carolla, this little gem was not only worth watching one time, but also during the replay, which is viewable from two different angles during this clip (via YouTube).

Soo-ji stole the show with her looks and talent, earning her this week’s Wife of the Week award at The Wife Hates Sports. It’s an honor she’ll never know about, with no trophy to put on her mantle.

But maybe some day, perhaps one of our Major or Minor League teams will have her – or someone like her – as a guest to throw out a first pitch.

At least, they should.  It would be about time that we added some flash – instead of something worth flushing – to our ceremonial first pitches.
