Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards are in a very tight race for the NASCAR Power Rankings lead. A little further back is Jimmie Johnson and Matt Kenseth battling for third place.  Rounding out the top five is Kurt Busch.

Knocking on the door of the top five is Kevin Harvick and Tony Stewart.

Clint Bowyer is this week’s biggest mover following his win at Talladega.  David Ragan, Tony Stewart and Kasey Kahne all also had strong weeks.

Meanwhile, Ryan Newman was the biggest loser of the week, dropping two spots to 12th place.  A.J. Allmendinger, Jeff Gordon and Denny Hamlin all also crack the biggest loser list.

The Wife Hates Sports has vowed to get more involved with NASCAR, and that’s why I am proud to introduce Bill Schneider, who will present his NASCAR power ratings on a weekly basis.  I know you will see his ratings system as unique and different than the rest.  He also infuses stats and involves recent results during the NASCAR season. – Kevin Paul
