The Wife Hates Sports is going live for the 2011 Outback Bowl!
Of course, we will have an audience that features a hefty number of fans of both the Florida Gators and Penn State Nittany Lions. That’s a likelihood considering my time living in Central Florida, as well as my five years attending Penn State University.
I mean, honestly, college football fans – what better way to enjoy the game than with a live blog and some friendly banter? Other than obviously being at the game itself, right?
The 25th edition of this “Bloomin’ Bowl” is one of the more intriguing match-ups of the season, as 84-year old Joe Paterno takes on Urban Meyer in his last game as Florida Gators head coach. This was certainly not a situation where we thought Meyer would be the one landing in the retirement headlines.
Feel free to pitch in any comments, thoughts or chatter about the game (or any other game for that matter). The Wife Hates Sports looks forward to chatting college football with whoever drops by. This will be an experiment and if it goes well, I am likely to have more of these in the near future.
And we’re off and running with a live blog…. enjoy the game!
2011 Outback Bowl
Florida vs. Penn State Live Blog
SCOTT —
Yeah, it was an interesting half… some sloppy moments, but overall some solid plays on offense too for Penn State.
JARED — Yes he does prepare them well… it’s been a good game so far, sloppy at times.
If you have a smart phone, you should come on and chat on the live blog… I’m guessing that you do. Enjoy your time at the bar.
How is the crowd split? Nice pick to start things off on defense.
Was it just me or did it look like JoePa tried to land a haymaker on Urban Meyer in pre-game?
At the Penn State-Boston alumni HQs, The Greatest Bar! I think the Lions have a good shot. Joepa always prepares them well for bowl games. Moye will be clutch.
