Over the last two seasons, Brandon Bollig played in 52 total games for the Chicago Blackhawks (nine, via the Stanley Cup Playoffs).  During this stretch, Bollig scored just one goal, while posting 120 total penalty minutes.

The lone goal was during the 2011-12 playoffs.

Therefore, it’s safe to assume that Bollig’s role in Chicago is not fancy puck handling and lighting the lamp.

Brandon Bollig may not score a lot of goals, but he can make one mean snow angel

That’s why it’s amusing that a video landed recently, with Bollig attempting the same drills that Patrick Kane displayed in his very impressive stickhandling video.

Ridiculously impressive.

As one would expect, Bollig has plenty of hockey skills, but he faltered quite a bit attempting to maneuver through the sea of pucks.  This eventually turned it into a string of outtakes – with snow angels included.

But enough chatter, see the amusing display for yourself.

These are the kind of guys that you love to have playing on your team – the “work hard, play hard” types.

Oh, and ironically, Bollig scored a goal in the first game of the 2013-14 regular season.

Go figure, right?

I’m sure he and his teammates had a few laughs about that one.
