Penn State vs. Florida: 2011 Outback Bowl Live Blog

The Wife Hates Sports is going live – and with an audience that features a hefty number of fans of both the Florida Gators and Penn State Nittany Lions – what better way to kick off these live events then with the 2011 Outback Bowl?

The 25th edition of this “Bloomin’ Bowl” is one of the more intriguing matchups of the season, as 84-year old Joe Paterno takes on Urban Meyer in his last game as Gators head coach.outback-bowl-logo

Feel free to pitch in any comments, thoughts or chatter about this game (or any other game), and TWHS looks forward to chatting college football with whoever drops by.

And we’re off….

Yeah, it was an interesting half… some sloppy moments, but overall some solid plays on offense too for Penn State.

JARED — Yes he does prepare them well… it’s been a good game so far, sloppy at times.

If you have a smart phone, you should come on and chat on the live blog… I’m guessing that you do. Enjoy your time at the bar.

How is the crowd split? Nice pick to start things off on defense.

Was it just me or did it look like JoePa tried to land a haymaker on Urban Meyer in pre-game?

At the Penn State-Boston alumni HQs, The Greatest Bar! I think the Lions have a good shot. Joepa always prepares them well for bowl games. Moye will be clutch.
