NASCAR points leader Jeff Gordon took over the lead at the 5-Hour Energy 400 with nine laps to go, eventually racing to victory at Kansas Speedway.  It was his first win of the 2014 Sprint Cup season.  With the victory, Gordon builds upon his lead in the latest edition of NASCAR Power Rankings at The Wife Hates Sports.

Joey Logano’s fourth place finish bumps him up three spots to second place.  Dale Earnhardt Jr. moves up one spot to third.  Meanwhile, Matt Kenseth falls to fourth and Kansas runner up Kevin Harvick rounds out the top five.

The rain-delayed race was also headlined by Danica Patrick’s career-best seventh place finish and eight different cautions, including one that followed a nasty wreck involving David Gilliland, Justin Allgaier and A.J. Allmendinger.
