Rivalries often get heated.  A fan’s hatred for another team will often hone in on the opposing team’s mascot, considering that it is often at the forefront of that team’s fan following.  A perfect example lies with the Ohio State Buckeyes.  This is a passionate and feisty fan base that rallies around its big-headed leader, Brutus the Buckeye.

Like many mascots, Brutus is an awkward looking character.  He has a gigantic grin that looks like it would match that of a defensive lineman’s wingspan.  His big eyes and enormous smile almost mock each and every opponent that gets soured by Ohio State’s continued success in major sports, especially football and basketball.

Brutus the Buckeye is one of the more well known and noticeable mascots in college sports

That’s why Big Ten rival fans should be excited by what comes next.  We are talking about fans of teams like Michigan, Penn State and Michigan State.  Heck, any team that has succumbed to an Ohio State beat down in recent years.

These fans would line up to view (and thoroughly enjoy) a video of Brutus getting leveled during a Ohio State spring football practice.

Well, you’re in luck, football fan!

Because such a video does actually exist.  In fact, there are two videos at different angles of the same filthy hit on Brutus.  The following two videos are samples (from YouTube) of the Ohio State mascot getting popped.

What may be more impressive is the fact that even with a head that big, the hit was legal.
