Jimmie Johnson led for nearly sixty percent of the laps at the STP 500, but it was Kurt Busch that made the late surge and cruised into Victory Lane at Martinsville Speedway on Sunday.  Busch’s victory bumped him up seven spots in the latest edition of NASCAR Power Rankings at The Wife Hates Sports.

Meanwhile, Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s third place finish helped vault him to the top spot in the rankings, while Jimmie Johnson’s runner-up performance bumped him up to second.
