Jimmie Johnson may have locked up this year’s NASCAR Power Rankings championship after collecting his second consecutive win. His lead is twenty ratings points with just two races to go.
Brad Keselowski and Clint Bowyer are now a distant second and third. Kyle Busch and Jeff Gordon round out the top five.
The aforementioned Kyle Busch moves up three spots to fourth and is this week’s biggest mover. Aric Almirola, Kurt Busch and Greg Biffle also top the list of biggest movers.
Kasey Kahne falls from fourth to sixth and is this week’s biggest loser. Denny Hamlin also had a disappointing week in Texas, as did Sam Hornish Jr. and Regan Smith.

The Wife Hates Sports has vowed to get more involved with NASCAR, and that’s why I am proud to introduce Bill Schneider, who will present his NASCAR power ratings on a weekly basis. I know you will see his ratings system as unique and different than the rest. He also infuses stats and involves recent results during the NASCAR season. – Kevin Paul
