Jimmie Johnson has accumulated fifteen top five finishes this season. However, over the last nine, he has been unable to collect any victories. During Johnson’s nine week drought, seven of those wins went to drivers who rank second through fifth in this week’s NASCAR Power Rankings. That includes the most recent race at Dover.
This includes two wins by Brad Keselowski, three by Denny Hamlin, one by Clint Bowyer and one by Jeff Gordon. Speaking of Gordon, he climbs six spots and is this week’s biggest mover.
On the flip side, Greg Biffle falls four spots to tenth and is this week’s biggest loser. Matt Kenseth (also down four spots), Kasey Kahne (down two) and Ryan Newman (down one) join Biffle on the list.

The Wife Hates Sports has vowed to get more involved with NASCAR, and that’s why I am proud to introduce Bill Schneider, who will present his NASCAR power ratings on a weekly basis. I know you will see his ratings system as unique and different than the rest. He also infuses stats and involves recent results during the NASCAR season. – Kevin Paul
