Jimmie Johnson’s NASCAR Power Rankings lead grows after finishing third at Charlotte.  It is Johnson’s fourth top five finish over the last five races.  His lead jumps back to over twelve ratings points.  Meanwhile, Brad Keselowski and Denny Hamlin remain in second and third place, respectively.

Race winner Clint Bowyer climbs to fourth and is this week’s biggest mover, while Kyle Busch rounds out the top five.  Other big movers this week include Greg Biffle, Kasey Kahne and Martin Truex Jr.

Jeff Gordon falls three spots to seventh and is this week’s biggest loser.  Matt Kenseth, Ryan Newman and Marcos Ambrose all also had difficult weeks in Charlotte.

The Wife Hates Sports has vowed to get more involved with NASCAR, and that’s why I am proud to introduce Bill Schneider, who will present his NASCAR power ratings on a weekly basis.  I know you will see his ratings system as unique and different than the rest.  He also infuses stats and involves recent results during the NASCAR season. – Kevin Paul
