Jimmie Johnson may have the NASCAR Power Rankings lead, but Brad Keselowski continues to close the gap. Keselowski has racked up seven top 5’s and nine top 10’s in the last ten races. During that same period, Jimmie Johnson has four top 5’s and five top 10’s.
In the rankings, Johnson and Keselowski are followed by Greg Biffle, Denny Hamlin, and Matt Kenseth.
Kyle Busch climbs three spots following his top five at Chicago and is this week’s biggest mover. Brad Keselowski and Ryan Newman also had strong weeks at Chicago.
Matt Kenseth falls two spots to fifth place and is this week’s biggest loser. Martin Truex Jr. and Greg Biffle also had difficult weeks and lose ground in the rankings.

The Wife Hates Sports has vowed to get more involved with NASCAR, and that’s why I am proud to introduce Bill Schneider, who will present his NASCAR power ratings on a weekly basis. I know you will see his ratings system as unique and different than the rest. He also infuses stats and involves recent results during the NASCAR season. – Kevin Paul
