In what looks to be a very competitive Chase for the Cup, Jimmie Johnson goes into it with the NASCAR Power Rankings lead. Johnson’s lead is just a shade under nine ratings points.
Johnson is followed by Greg Biffle, Matt Kenseth, Brad Keselowski and Denny Hamlin.
Fan favorite Dale Earnhardt Jr. remains in seventh place this week.
The aforementioned Matt Kenseth climbs two spots following his top five at Richmond and is this week’s biggest mover. Clint Bowyer, Tony Stewart and Denny Hamlin also make the biggest movers list.
Martin Truex Jr. falls two spots to sixth place and is this week’s biggest loser. Marcos Ambrose and Jamie McMurray also had tough weeks and lose ground in the rankings.

The Wife Hates Sports has vowed to get more involved with NASCAR, and that’s why I am proud to introduce Bill Schneider, who will present his NASCAR power ratings on a weekly basis. I know you will see his ratings system as unique and different than the rest. He also infuses stats and involves recent results during the NASCAR season. – Kevin Paul
