Jimmie Johnson remains the NASCAR Power Rankings leader despite a poor finish at Michigan.  Johnson’s ratings point lead has been cut to just a shade over six points.

Greg Biffle remains in second place this week, followed by Matt Kenseth in third, Brad Keselowski in fourth and Dale Earnhardt Jr. in fifth place.

Carl Edwards climbs two spots and is this week’s biggest mover.  Sam Hornish Jr. and Kasey Kahne also had solid weeks and gained ground on the field.

Kyle Busch only slips one spot, but earns the honor (not really) of being the week’s biggest loser.  Tony Stewart and Kevin Harvick also lost ground at Michigan.

The Wife Hates Sports has vowed to get more involved with NASCAR, and that’s why I am proud to introduce Bill Schneider, who will present his NASCAR power ratings on a weekly basis.  I know you will see his ratings system as unique and different than the rest.  He also infuses stats and involves recent results during the NASCAR season. – Kevin Paul
