Despite a poor finish at Loudon, Kyle Busch maintains a strong NASCAR Power Rankings lead over Carl Edwards.  Busch’s lead is likely due to five top ten finishes over his last six races.  Either way, his lead is nearly eight ratings points heading into the next race.

Meanwhile, Kurt Busch remains in third place, followed by Jimmie Johnson and Kevin Harvick.

Joey Logano is this week’s biggest mover following his top five finish (gaining four spots in the rankings).  Kasey Kahne and David Ragan also had strong weeks, gaining two spots.

Clint Bowyer and Brad Keselowski are the week’s biggest losers, each dropping three spots in the latest poll.

Ryan Newman joins the top ten this week following a slight improvement from the last race.

The Wife Hates Sports has vowed to get more involved with NASCAR, and that’s why I am proud to introduce Bill Schneider, who will present his NASCAR power ratings on a weekly basis.  I know you will see his ratings system as unique and different than the rest.  He also infuses stats and involves recent results during the NASCAR season. – Kevin Paul
