Kevin Harvick came out of nowhere and won for the third time this season by winning the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte.  Despite the win, Carl Edwards still remains at the top of the NASCAR Power Rankings.

Kyle Busch sits in second place behind Edwards.  Jimmie Johnson is in third place, followed by Kevin Harvick and Clint Bowyer.

Kurt Busch is our biggest mover in this week’s Power Rankings, thanks to his fourth place finish.  Marcus Ambrose, Denny Hamlin and AJ Allmendinger join Busch with solid weeks of their own.

On the flip side, Ryan Newman is the biggest loser of the week, followed by Kasey Kahne, Jeff Gordon and Martin Truex Jr.

Kevin Harvick won the Coca-Cola 600, but Carl Edwards remains on top of this week’s NASCAR Power Rankings

The Wife Hates Sports has vowed to get more involved with NASCAR, and that’s why I am proud to introduce Bill Schneider, who will present his NASCAR power ratings on a weekly basis.  I know you will see his ratings system as unique and different than the rest.  He also infuses stats and involves recent results during the NASCAR season. – Kevin Paul
