Jimmie Johnson led for nearly sixty percent of the laps at the STP 500, but it was Kurt Busch that made the late surge and cruised into Victory Lane at Martinsville Speedway on Sunday.  Busch’s victory bumped him up seven spots in the latest edition of NASCAR Power Rankings at The Wife Hates Sports.

That jump pushes Kurt Busch to just outside the top ten and lands him at the top of the list of biggest movers for the week.  Also joining him on the list are Clint Bowyer (also up seven spots), Marcos Ambrose (up six) and Aric Almirola (up four).

Meanwhile, Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s third place finish helps vault him to the top spot in the rankings, while Jimmie Johnson’s runner-up performance bumps him up to second position.
