NFL Draft 2013: Man Pranks Football Fans Waiting to Enter Radio City Music Hall (Video)

Fans flock every year to see the NFL Draft live and in person, many hoping to boo NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, while others wait patiently to cheer (or boo) loudly after their team makes a selection.

Few would expect to fall victim of a prankster while waiting to get into the venue, but that’s exactly what happened at this year’s 2013 NFL Draft.

Football Nation’s Bill Enright pieced together this brilliant report outside of Radio City Music Hall, tossing out fictional names like Mike Hawke and Buster Highman.

Highman had me laughing for a good five minutes, and even THE WIFE appreciated that one, so bravo, Bill.  By gaining her approval, you don’t realize just what you have accomplished.

THE WIFE was shocked that so many of these fans would act as if they know who these guys are, while never hearing their names before.  It just goes to show you that she doesn’t realize just how some guys are – specifically that 1) Many don’t know much about sports and 2) They don’t want to come off looking like an idiot, being unsure who a player is.  Instead, they go with the flow, and try to act educated on the subject matter.

Instead, Enright ends up making them look like even bigger idiots.

Here’s hoping that Bill posts another video during the 2014 NFL Draft.  Perhaps he’ll announce that Haywood Jablowmee and William Board are set to enter the draft pool.

Big H/T out to my friends at Lost Letterman, who recently posted the video link on Twitter.

Also, an obvious H/T goes to Football Nation, who pieced together the classic video.

I actually saw Ricketts on the DP Show recently and it was a pretty interesting interview… and he pitched the situation well, clearly offering up a lot of things that they are planning to do to improve the ballpark and community. I couldn’t really argue with anything that he was saying. The team is young and wants to continue to get younger… specifically, I would see them moving Garza in a deadline deal for more prospects. I think they are moving in the right direction. Can I assume that you completely disagree?

Hey TOP… why don’t you tell us how you really feel about the Cubbies? Ha ha… gotta love your passion, man…

Those fans pack the house. Wait, what do they charge to get in there? Do you know the answer to that one?
