The Family Clothesline – a popular Penn State clothing store in State College, Pennsylvania – has pulled off a unique feat in the form of one simple t-shirt.

The shop not only was able to design a shirt that praised its home team coaching legend Joe Paterno, but also one that managed to poke fun at Jim Tressel, Ohio State football and the new Big Ten conference division names.

The Nittany Lion would likely love to don a “Legends and Liars” shirt this fall

That’s four messages meshed into one 50/50 cotton-poly blend.  Not too shabby!

The t-shirt design is simple, yet packed with a solid jab.  It clearly delivers a punch and is listed among the Family Clothesline’s top sellers on the website’s home page.

Certainly, the blue and white clad fans must love it.  After all, the Nittany Lions – along with the rest of the Big Ten – have been Tressel’s punching bag for years.

But it also delivered a statement that reached out as far as Columbus itself.  Recently, The Family Clothesline (and the shirt) was featured in Columbus Business First.

While the Buckeye faithful may turn the other cheek, the shirt clearly points out the black cloud that is hanging over Ohio State football.  It brings forward the fact that the once clean-cut and proper looking Tressel is far from that.  Furthermore, more trouble could be on the way, via the NCAA.

As for the shirt, here it is (below).  The price is listed as $12.99 – $13.99 and comes in either navy blue or white.  They also have a wide variety of Penn State clothing.  For the free pub, THE WIFE and I certainly wouldn’t complain if a few were tossed in our direction.  Wink wink, nudge nudge.
