Jimmy Fallon Generates Big Laughs with #WeddingFail Hashtags

Social media, Twitter and hashtags make up a hefty portion of ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon‘, and that’s for good reason considering how much time Jimmy’s target audience spends there.

Well, heck, that’s just about everyone these days, with exception of a few grandmothers and toddlers.

My parents are on Facebook and Instagram every day, although they do not dabble in Twitter.

But Jimmy Fallon does, and every Wednesday, he delivers a hashtag to the “Twitterverse“, asking people to share their stories with the show.  A select few get aired.

Recently, Fallon delivered #WeddingFail hashtags on ‘The Tonight Show’ – a perfect fit for The Wife Hates Sports – and the segment did not disappoint.

Those that are married likely will appreciate it more, especially THE WIFE in your life.

That’s because every wife is frantic about her big day, wanting it to be perfect… to be beautiful… to be flawless… to be wonderful.  They worry about way too many intricate details and here’s some advice about the big event (if it hasn’t happened yet):

It will NEVER be perfect, at least from a delivery perspective.  These “wedding fails” will happen.  The key is avoiding the complete disasters.  For example, I went to a wedding where the DJ got the bride’s name wrong the entire night.  Just imagine how much of a rampage the mother of the bride went on.

If the color of the flowers are wrong or the hors d’oeuvres show up ten minutes late, who cares!

But enough of the chit-chat, let’s laugh at Jimmy, Higgins and these wedding stories.

Thank you, as always, for visiting The Wife Hates Sports.

My wife and I cheated the system by going low-key, low-budget, and low-brow. It’s hard to have a major #WeddingFail at a ceremony that lasts maybe 15 minutes, or at a reception that features a 6-team cornhole tournament with a trophy made from an actual can of corn decorated with an image of The Great Cornholio. On top of that, the post-reception hangout (in other words, after the polite company left) featured an epic game of Cards Against Humanity.
