Joey Logano landed in Victory Lane for the third time this season, winning the Irwin Tools Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday night.  Fending off strong performances from Brad Keselowski and Matt Kenseth, it was Logano that took the night race at Bristol, and it’s Logano that takes over the top spot in the latest NASCAR Power Rankings at The Wife Hates Sports.

Logano becomes the fifth driver to win three races this season, joining Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Brad Keselowski and Jimmie Johnson.

Logano’s leap to the top is fueled by his last five finishes.  None of which are any lower than sixth place.

Jeff Gordon, the previous power rankings leader, moves back one spot to second place after finishing 16th at Bristol.  Following Gordon is Kevin Harvick, who finished in 11th.

Dale Earnhardt Jr., who was in second heading into the night race, falls back to fourth place, following a disappointing 39th place finish.

Brad Keselowski, the runner-up at Bristol, remains in fifth position.
