In addition to taking over the Chase lead with his win at Martinsville, Jimmie Johnson distanced himself from Brad Keselowski in this week’s NASCAR Power Rankings.

Keselowski remains in second, but Clint Bowyer is not far behind him in third place.   Kasey Kahne and Jeff Gordon round out the top five.

Kyle Busch moves up two spots (to seventh place) and is this week’s biggest mover.  Joining Busch on the biggest mover list are Greg Biffle, Sam Hornish Jr. and Aric Almirola.

Meanwhile, Denny Hamlin falls three spots to sixth position and is this week’s biggest loser.  Martin Truex Jr., Jeff Burton and Matt Kenseth join Hamlin on the list of biggest losers.

The Wife Hates Sports has vowed to get more involved with NASCAR, and that’s why I am proud to introduce Bill Schneider, who will present his NASCAR power ratings on a weekly basis.  I know you will see his ratings system as unique and different than the rest.  He also infuses stats and involves recent results during the NASCAR season. – Kevin Paul
