Carl Edwards may have come up short at Homestead, but he did claim first place in the season’s final NASCAR Power Rankings.  Call it a consolation prize.

Cup Champion Tony Stewart is this week’s biggest mover after his win in the season finale.  Stewart finishes in second behind Edwars.  Rounding out the top five are Matt Kenseth, Jimmie Johnson, and Kyle Busch.

In addition to biggest mover Tony Stewart, Matt Kenseth, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Martin Truex Jr. all finished the season on a high note.

Meanwhile, Jimmie Johnson finishes as the biggest loser of the week, falling two spots to fourth place overall.  Marcos Ambrose and David Reutimann also landed on the biggest loser list after the finale at Homestead.

The Wife Hates Sports has vowed to get more involved with NASCAR, and that’s why I am proud to introduce Bill Schneider, who will present his NASCAR power ratings on a weekly basis.  I know you will see his ratings system as unique and different than the rest.  He also infuses stats and involves recent results during the NASCAR season. – Kevin Paul
