Kyle Busch’s second place finish at Charlotte has allowed him to solidify his NASCAR Power Rankings lead over Carl Edwards and Jimmie Johnson.  Rounding out this week’s top five are race winner Matt Kenseth and Kurt Busch.

Marcos Ambrose is this week’s biggest mover following his third straight top ten finish.  Carl Edwards, Matt Kenseth and Kurt Busch also had solid weeks in Charlotte.

On the flip side, Jeff Gordon is the biggest loser of the week, dropping three spots to seventh place.  Martin Truex Jr., Clint Bowyer and Jimmie Johnson all also had tough weeks.  Truex Jr., like Gordon, also dropped three spots and barely remains in the top 20.

The Wife Hates Sports has vowed to get more involved with NASCAR, and that’s why I am proud to introduce Bill Schneider, who will present his NASCAR power ratings on a weekly basis.  I know you will see his ratings system as unique and different than the rest.  He also infuses stats and involves recent results during the NASCAR season. – Kevin Paul
