Kyle Busch’s NASCAR Power Rankings lead over Carl Edwards has narrowed after the Chase’s opening race at Chicago.  Not far behind Busch and Edwards are Jimmie Johnson, Kurt Busch, and Jeff Gordon.

The race is certainly getting tighter during the season’s final weeks.

David Ragan is the biggest mover for the second consecutive week, while Tony Stewart moves up one spot following his win.  Jimmie Johnson and Kurt Busch also land on the biggest mover list following the race.

Meanwhile, Jeff Gordon is the biggest loser of the week, falling two spots to fifth place.  A.J. Allemdinger and Jamie McMurray also fell back two slots in the rankings this week.

The Wife Hates Sports has vowed to get more involved with NASCAR, and that’s why I am proud to introduce Bill Schneider, who will present his NASCAR power ratings on a weekly basis.  I know you will see his ratings system as unique and different than the rest.  He also infuses stats and involves recent results during the NASCAR season. – Kevin Paul
