83rd Annual Academy Awards: 2011 Oscar Predictions

By now, visitors to The Wife Hates Sports know that this is a sports site with a tendency to dabble in the entertainment world from time to time.

Nothing symbolizes Hollywood more than the Oscars, which is why – like last year – yours truly will go head-to-head against the wife in hopes to achieve gender domination for one evening.

It’s time to post some award predictions for the Oscars.  Feel free to chime in with your picks.

    VIKKI–

    The Fighter is one of the movies that I haven’t seen yet, though I really want to. I have heard so many great things about it.

    Since we are discussing snubbed nominations, I really think that Christopher Nolan should have gotten a nomination for Best Director in Inception.

    Even though it will not win best picture-The Fighter is my favorite. And why wasn’t Noomi Rapace nominated-she was superb in Dragon.

    Have you seen that and most or all of the other movies? I have heard TKS is the favorite heading into it, but things have changed it seems with the awards over the last few years. It appears that darkhorses can and do win…

    If “The King’s Speech” doesn’t win, I might have an outburst worthy of the “Do you stammer when you curse?” scene.
